Wouldn't you know it

So I had this great plan to redo my bedroom . I bought all the new bedding and it's currently sitting in the original packaging on my bedroom floor until I get the surge of energy to paint the room and get to it already. I admit I've been lazy in the makeover department.

Then an intervention happened. I got the new glossy 167 page Pottery Barn catalog. Normally Pottery Barn is too beige and bland for me but something happened to them and they added brightly colored gorgeous bed linens and I'm torn.

One the one hand I have this perfectly (nonreturnable) lovely set of bed linens and a plan to go with these linens. And on the other hand I have found bed linens that I feel like are more my style. What to do?!

Help me choose please.
Here is the original bedding. It's a lovely shade of a blue/green and I think it's perfectly acceptable. I purchased a lovely set of high count crisp white sheets to break up the color a bit.
Then I saw this set and I just love the patchwork with the shades of blue and green. I doggy-eared the page in the Pottery Barn catalog within seconds of seeing this set.

Then! Then I went to the website and fell in love with the large, bright flowers and the crisp white in the background.

Then I stumbled across this and I also love the big beautiful floral print that's not to sweet looking. I'm also drawn to the oranges.

So you see, readers. I'm torn and I don't know what to do. Help, please. What would you choose?

They are all so beautiful - but I really love the first set the most. You could always break up the solids with floral throw pillows or floral sheets if you crave more color. The other choices are gorgeous as well, I just feel liks you'll have more leeway with a solid color - you can play with patterns in other ways?

Knowing you, I like the last set the best, and it reminds me the most of you. But I do think the first is the most versatile, won't go out of style, is easy to break up with colors or neutrals. Just my two cents. I love the way you decorate, so I'm sure whatever you choose will be fantastic.

I LOVE the one with the bright flowers. Love it. From the way I see it you can either have two sets and rotate them with the seasons - or have two sets and mix/match the different pieces and change those with the seasons (keep the duvet of one/mix it with the shams of another, etc). Staying within a budget is huge but having something you love it priceless.

I would mix pieces from one of the more vibrant sets in with the more subdued set that you already have. I am buying fabric from the second set (they have fabric by the yard in that pattern, insanely expensive but they have it, and making curtains out of it for my living room btw) you could make a fabric headboard in a wild fabric to go with your subdued bedding. It would give a pop of color and really make a statement in the room and then add bright pillows to coordinate. That's what I would do.

Well like true me, I hate them all (except for the first). However you have a knack of taking stuff I think is hideous and making it work. So that said the 2nd to last picture I'm dying to see how it look Kristiefied.

What do you envision with the different bedding? What color paint/accessories? Can you return the original (and very bland) bedding?

I say you sell the first set on ebay and buy the last set. It's totally funky and fun, the perfect pattern to wake up to!

I love number four, and I could totally see with the colors you've already mentioned. I feel like the first set has a cool base, rather than warm, and so I am not as much a fan of that, but that's just me.

Okay so I went to Pottery Barn online and poked around. The Bettina (the last pic) comes in fabric by the yard just like the one I am getting (the second Pottery Barn pic you posted-The Serafina).

They also have pillows in that fabric too. I didn't see fabric for the first Pottery Barn item you posted though.

I like the first set best. The others seem like they will be really busy in a room.

OK, there's nothing wrong with keeping the original linens as a backup set and getting a new set from PB. And it sounds to me like you love the first PB set the most. So, I think you should get that one.

I love #2 and #3. They totally go with your house! OMG, I love your colors!
PB is the death of me. I find simple things in there that I just HAVE TO HAVE, but don't want to pay the price.
