Since I have so much time on my hands, I've been using my brain.

I'm recovering nicely from my surgery yesterday. It's painful, but Vicodin works wonders.

So I've been sitting around thinking about future home projects. Things like installing hardwood floors and rearranging photos on the walls. And one thing I'd like to start is a small compost. I'd like a place to compost all the scraps from left over foods and peeling from fruits and veggies. Having a free fertilizer would be great.

I've started to do some research, but I was wondering if anyone around these parts has any advice, tips, or any websites they can direct me to.

Advance thank yous to who can help me.

Peace, love and composting!

On composting...keep it simple. Throw it in there, watch it turn to dirt. Want to see something really cool happen?? Use a g-diaper or two and throw IT on the compost pile. :) They REALLY do compost!

Hardwood floors...get the DVD from Lowe's on finishing. And its easy if you rent the staple gun. :) Let us know if you've got questions.

I talked to Eric today and he told me you were recovering well. I am so glad you have some pain meds!!
Compost: when we had a garden when i was growing up, we started it in a big bucket before putting it in the ground. Tea grounds, banana peels...I'll ask my mom for suggestions to pass on to you.

I live in a tiny apartment in NYC. The street is our compost center.
